Physical and Chemical Properties

Chemical properties are colorless to light gray transparent or translucent viscous liquid or paste, and those containing trace powdered silica are white to translucent. Odorless, almost odorless, neutral, non-volatile, non-burning, stable to heat, and in a larger temperature range, the viscosity changes very little. Very poor conductivity. It doesn't work for most chemicals. The defoaming power is strong. The viscosity of general commodities is (100~1100)× 10-6m2/s. Soluble in benzene, toluene, carbon tetrachloride, chloroform and ether, slightly soluble in acetone, ethanol, insoluble in methanol, propylene glycol, liquid paraffin, glycerin, vegetable oil and water.

Use

Use 1, defoaming agent. Mainly used in monosodium glutamate, wine, soy sauce and other fermentation industry.
